There was a time when there was trust trust between a bank and its members. The bank was the center of a community. They looked after our hard earned money and gave us honest, impartial advice. When we did well, they did well. Then things changed. Larger banks gobbled up smaller ones. Decisions were made in corporate offices by managers that cared about their annual bonuses, not the good of the communities they served. These too big to fail banks through their own greed and financial mismanagement, lead the country into a financial crisis.
