the horrible, Horrible By David Barrett. Chapter one of myths, legends and wardrobe On a misty morning in Scotland, if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the monster that lurks below Loch Ness or on a stormy night. You may hear the distant howling of ghastly ghouls that Rome haunted houses. And in the coldest month, when the deepest snow covers the highest mountain, you could follow in the footprints of the abominable Snowman. While these are monsters of myth and legend, would you believe that within the bedroom closest to yours lives a gruesome creature of unspeakable form? Let's step back a moment and take a walk along Apple Tree Lane, a street lined with imposing Victorian terraced houses. The house at the end is home to the night family of four walking through their front door, and you are faced with a grand staircase. Climb upwards to the top and double doors lead you into the master bedroom. Turn around and in the darkened corner stands a tatty old wardrobe. Big art deco, towering and tatty. What hides inside is the unthinkable of unimaginable ugliness, undeniable gruesomeness, unquestionably monstrous. And so begins our story on soap on a wardrobe inside its darkest corner hides the horrible Borrell to read the rest of the story and find out how the horrible Horrible makes a new friend in Martha, how he moves to a new home in the garden shed and the adventure that leads him to audition for the UK's favourite TV show, Britain's Top talent.
