A topic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is one of the most common inflammatory diseases of the skin. It occurs in both Children and adults. In fact, four out of five patients first experienced symptoms by five years of age. A topic dermatitis is a chronic condition with red inflamed, intensely itchy patches of skin that can become traumatized due to frequent scratching. Pharmacologic therapy is used to prevent and control asthma symptoms, reduce the frequency and severity of asthma exacerbations and reverse airflow obstruction. Asthma medications are categorized into two general classifications. Quick relief and long term medications. Quick relief medications are taken to provide prompt reversal of acute airflow obstruction and relief of accompanying broncho constriction. Long term control medications are taken daily on a long term basis to help achieve and maintain control of persistent asthma.
