A patient of mine has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Follow along with me on his journey from initial diagnosis to treatment options and determining the right treatment plan for Bob and his family. Based on the results of Bob's diagnostic tests, I was able to determine a treatment path that took the characteristics of his tumor and his personal medical history into account. So I ordered follow up testing and imaging, which indicated the presence of metastatic cancer. Depending on the treatment path, patients may see a radiation oncologist or a urologist who specializes in oncology, called a urologic oncologist based on Bob's risk factors.
