in the town of Nazareth lived, A woman named Mary who was engaged to a man named joseph. Mary was kind, humble obedient and had great faith. one day an Angel came to visit her, announcing that she would become pregnant and give birth to a son whom she would call jesus. Before mary and joseph were wed, mary became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit, just as the angel had said, but joseph struggled to understand this newfound miracle. When they arrived the town was crowded and they could not find a place to stay. They searched high and low until discovering a small barn just outside the city center. It was here that mary gave birth to jesus. She wrapped him in a blanket and placed him in a manger lined with hay. There were some shepherds camping in the neighborhood nearby, looking over their sheep. Suddenly an angel came upon them and God's glory blazed around them, the angel said, Do not be afraid, I'm here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody worldwide. A savior has just been born in David's town, a savior who is messiah and master the shepherds left running, finding mary, joseph and baby jesus lying in the manger. Just as they had heard, they glorified and praised God for the messiah had been born far from Bethlehem, some wise men from the east were following a star they had seen bright in the sky, believing it would take them to the king of the jews. The star rose up and went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where jesus laid. When they arrived they saw the child and his mother mary and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and murderer. On a silent night in a quiet resting place outside of Bethlehem came the greatest gift the world has ever known, wrapped in humble packaging and changing eternity forever. Jesus Our savior, jesus, our friend, jesus, the hope of the world, Emmanuel God with us now and always. Mm he has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise, a sound that resonates that all of heaven and earth may worship him.
