60 seconds. Smart skill. Jump starting your car. Sometimes car batteries die. Be ready. Always carry jumper cables in your trunk and ask another driver to help. Make sure both ignitions air off in parking. Brakes are engaged. Start by putting a red clamp on the positive terminal of the dead battery and the other red clamp on the positive terminal of the good battery. Then put a black clamp on the negative terminal of the good battery and the other black clamp on an unpainted surface of your car like a bolt. Just be sure not to clamp it on the battery, the fuel system or any electrical or moving parts. Ask the other driver to start his engine and let your battery charge for five minutes. Careful, Ian, clamp the cables in reverse order and keep your car running for 30 minutes to make sure it holds the charge. Jumpstart safe and drive smart. It's what you dio Geico. Saving people money on more than just car insurance. 60 seconds. Smart skill. Jump starting your car. Sometimes car batteries die. Be ready.
