One of our polar experts will be with you momentarily while you're waiting. We hope you're inspired by past guests who've explored the polar regions with us. I'm seated in a zodiac boat cruising along an ice laden fjord on the west coast of Spitsbergen in the Norwegian Arctic. Our expedition guide who spent decades observing polar bears in the Arctic shares her expert knowledge over the thrum of the motor. Then suddenly she points towards the ice edge about 200 m away from us. And there she is a majestic polar bear ambling along the ice edge, presumably on the quest for food without warning, the polar bear stands on its hind legs sniffing in the air seals just all going quietly. She probably senses seals nearby. But then she points again about 50 m behind the bear binoculars and cameras are suddenly out. Two adorable bear cubs cross the snow laden tundra towards their mama to witness this wonder of nature has been a lifelong dream come true.
