Jump Radio 99.9
Voice Age:Young Adult
Gender:Female
Job description:Jump Radio 99.9 (formerly known as 99.9 KRKJ Radio) is St. Louis’ #1 hit music station. We’re playing today’s top music and nothing else. No 70s, no 80s, no 90s. Just the music that you and your friends actually love.
We are Greater St. Louis’ newest radio station and need to let listeners know about the city’s newest afternoon drive show, ‘Coming Home with Cara and Sammy.’
Cara Fernandez and Sam Sloan are Jump Radio’s two new afternoon drive hosts. Both are young, energetic radio hosts who know today’s latest celebrity gossip and trends better than your 13-year old cousin who’s glued to her phone.
We will be producing multiple 15-second show promos that will run on TV stations across the Greater St. Louis area.
Our target demographic is females aged 18-40 years old.
For these promo commercials, we need a conversational older millennial female voice that can be expressive and animated.
We need a voice that has a level of maturity attached to it but not so aged that our target audience feels it’s too old and distant from their own conversational style.
We want the voice actor to make the script their own and really create a character voice that would get buy-in from a savvy younger female demographic.

15-second Radio TV Promo Voice Over Script Sample:
[Shot of Cara and Sammy standing underneath the Gateway Arch along the Mississippi River downtown St. Louis. They are dressed up in a dress and suit, looking like they’re ready to take a red carpet by storm.]
Some kind of upbeat, electronic pop music is playing and builds as the commercial unfolds.
[Shot of tourists approaching the Gateway Arch. They start pointing, yelling and making a big deal.]
“There are two new attractions in town, and it’s not the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River.”
[Shot of tourists jumping up and down and screaming with Cara and Sammy underneath the Gateway Arch.]
“Tune into St. Louis’ hottest new afternoon radio show, ‘Coming home with Cara and Sammy,’ on the Lou’s #1 hit music station, Jump 99.9.”
15-second Radio TV Promo Voice Over Script Sample:
[Shot of Cara and Sammy in a baseball stadium, sitting front row behind the Cardinals dugout during batting practice. They’re once again dressed up in a fancy dress and suit.]
Some kind of Top 40 pop music is playing and builds as the commercial unfolds.
[Shot of decked out Cardinals superfans walking down the steps towards batting practice with pop, hot dogs and popcorn in hand. They look towards the Cardinals batting practice, throw all their food into the air and start running for their lives towards the closest seats.]
“There are two new superstars in St. Louis, and they’re not playing for the Cards.”
[Shot of superfans jumping up and down, hugging Cara and Sammy, with some players stopping batting practice and looking over with some jealousy.]
“Tune into St. Louis’ hottest new afternoon radio show, ‘Coming home with Cara and Sammy’, on the Lou’s #1 hit music station, Jump 99.9.”
15-second Radio TV Promo Voice Over Script Sample:
[Shot of Cara and Sammy eating kale salads in a smoky St. Louis barbecue restaurant. Behind their table, you can see the chefs turning over large slabs of ribs and smothering them with sauce. Both Cara and Sammy are wearing the same fancy dress and suit from the other commercials.]
Some kind of southern twang is playing in the background of the restaurant and gets louder as the commercial unfolds.
[Shot of three big, burly men with beards and tattoos walking into the restaurant. Their faces light up and they start rubbing their hands and running towards the ribs being cooked.]
“Something new is cooking in the Lou, and it’s not Sweet Jimmy’s secret barbeque rib sauce.”
[Shot of the three men lifting Cara and Sammy in the air in celebration, with the kale salads flying everywhere.]
“Tune into St. Louis’ hottest new afternoon radio show, ‘Coming home with Cara and Sammy’, on the Lou’s #1 hit music station, Jump 99.9.”
