30-Second Narrative Script Practice Read
Like many other philosophers, who greatly extended our knowledge of nature, Galileo had a remarkable aptitude for the invention of instruments designed for philosophical research. To facilitate his practical work, we find that in 1599, he had engaged a skilled workman, who was to live in his house, and be constantly at hand to try the devices, which were forever springing from Galileo’s fertile brain.
60-Second Narrative Script Practice Read
Like many other philosophers, who have greatly extended our knowledge of nature, Galileo had a remarkable aptitude for the invention of instruments designed for philosophical research. To facilitate his practical work, we find that in 1599, he had engaged a skilled workman who was to live in his house, and be constantly at hand to try the devices, which were forever springing from Galileo’s fertile brain. Among the earliest of his inventions appears to have been the thermometer, which he constructed in 1602. No doubt, this apparatus, in its primitive form, differed in some respects from the contrivance we call by the same name. Galileo at first employed water as the agent. Its expansion was the basis of the measure of temperature.

First off, I would just like to congrats Chantelle on her accolades in attaining a financial success level that impressed me. Voices.com must be in epic gratitude to have her exercising what she was born to achieve. My same emotion leans towards the rest of the Voices.com staff, as their prolific specialties earn them a position with this very company. So my lone question I have is: For myself, I specialize in Unvoiced Readings for any of the genres. Now I need to know if it is compulsory to add emotion in every reading that pertains to my arduous work. Or will the client include this duty in the artistic description before commencing voice over. Please and thank you!
Thanks Marc for reading and for your kind words. As for your questions on whether or not you should add emotion into every reading or not, that largely depends on the artistic direction that the client gives you. Emotion can range from descriptors such as upbeat or lively to sombre and sad – so my advice would be to follow the guidelines the client gives you for a particular job and ask any clarifying questions to ensure you nail their read. Hope this helps and good luck with your endeavours.
I am new and big up for the above post.
Now about get started do i need to read over such scripts and record my Voice and upload it

Thank you very much ! Having recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s , Vascular disease and mini strokes , I finally realized with all these disabilities to take the POSITIVE and get back into the loop of life.My passion has and is to always sing and act. As a SAG-AFTRA, AEA performer since 1966 I thought why not ? I may not to be able to everything as before but why not stay with your passion and things you like to do. ? If performers like George and Gracie Allen and Betty White can do it , then we all can do it ! Let them be an inspiration to all of us ! I literally stumbled into your cite. I wanted to do Voice Overs and could not believe that anything was on the internet. ( I guess that dates me ) regarding Voice Overs. I can’t tell you what your information you have given means so much to me. Things have changed dramatically since I did commercials. I just hope I can do you justice. Most sincerely, Pam Dadey Cota
Hi Pam,

I am 14 and want to do some narration, could you give me some tips because I dont seem to be finding any tips on the internet. And where can give my sample to? And also English is not my native language.
Thanks!

When you sign up for a Voices talent account, you’ll have the opportunity to list all the languages that you speak directly on your profile. That way, when clients are searching for a voice actor to perform in a particular language, your profile will appear.

Is it okay if i use these on other similar websites?
Hey Kunwar,
Our voice over sample scripts are completely royalty-free and penned by our in-house writers. Feel free to use them for your voice over demos on Voices, your own website, or anywhere else where you plan to highlight your voice over services.
Hello kind people of this website! I just have a question for some off you. With all of these narration types of script and fiction scripts, I was wondering if any horror focused scripts existed, because if they do, I am not having any luck. Because I know that I can narrate and read aloud, but sometimes when I do, I’ve been told that I can sometimes come off as a horror narrator.
Hey Hayden,
That’s a great idea! Unfortunately, we don’t have any horror-themed voice over scripts at the moment, but you should keep an eye on our sample scripts page since we publish new scripts every so often.
Happy recording,
Oliver
Having been in the field ranging from radio broadcasting (news and music), live sports (play by play, color, all announcements) acting (stage and life – realistically we’re all born actors from the first little white lie to the last rasping realization our performance is over wishing we’d been paid more if at all for our tour de force – I seek to further my dreams of my former not to take my final bow out as the latter.

Hello Chantelle, I have a question. I have been told quite often since changing my position from CNA to receptionist that my voice sounds like a radio personality, sexy, a porn star, and just quite unique over the loud speaker. I have been asked if I could just say people’s names over the loud speaker just once time. Of course I refused, but it has been quite interesting to say the least. I would like to know how to find a good topic…(if that’s the right word to use) to try voice over for beginners. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,
Patricia Cook

Wow! thank you for this Script. I’ve been practicing this for an hour , 😀
I am definitely using this for my demo.
Hi,
Where is the “Young Adult Fiction Narration” samples? When I click the link this “Narration: Non Fiction” comes up.
YALL, I’m new here can someone help me start up my journey here? Where do I begin ? I have a great speaking voice I don’t know where I start.
Thanks
Candace Tribble
Hey Candace! Reading our How to Start Voice Acting: Making a Career Choice in 2023 blog will be a good place to start! https://www.voices.com/blog/starting-voice-acting-career/
I’m so glad to come into contact with voices.com.It has given me the zeal to know that all things are possible. I’m from Nigeria. Can I still use my natural voice to demo my voice. Because from the excerpt demos, I noticed that the kind of voice to use is specified. Do I have chances of being hired. Thanks
I have not done anything like this before but i have always wanted to do something with my voice. And this seems to be the perfect place . I just want to know if it will matter if a don’t have a professional device
Hey Ayesha, we would highly recommend you look at buying a microphone to record voice overs! https://www.voices.com/blog/which-microphones-are-best-for-voice-actors/
Thanks Voices for all you do for voice over artists and actors! I’m working on starting a freelance work-from-home voice over business and am currently looking for scripts to use for my demo. Narration is one of my specialty areas and I think it would be good to include some nonfiction scripts.
Something I could use clarification on however, are whether there are any copyright rules that apply to the use of nonfiction texts, similar to fiction. You don’t refer to any in this blog post, so does that mean any nonfiction is considered in the public domain and free for use in a voice over demo?
I’d appreciate your insight. Thank you.
I’m a beginner and I’m starting to look for which genre should I choose among this flood of genres to opt from. Thanks to voices com for having script for every type.
