A realtor giving a home tour to a couple.

If you’re a realtor, builder, or someone trying to sell or rent your home, you’ll find these voice over sample real estate scripts to be a useful resource when producing a real estate commercial script of your own.

For real estate agents and homeowners looking to sell, it’s always the right time to get your home on the market and scout eager and interested buyers. The tried-and-true methods of selling a house are still popular, but in recent years the real estate marketplace has adapted to online strategies, including voice over coupled with virtual marketing.

  14. 60-Second Sample Script:

Voice over for the home buying and selling market can be recorded as often as three times a day or more, depending on the number of homes that a particular agent or service has partnered with that day.

Due to the high volume of real estate projects an agency receives every day, real estate companies understand that fostering strong relationships with professional voice talent is necessary, as well as competitive. That being said, your real estate company voice talent needs to be good, reliable, affordable, persuasive, and fast!

One might think that this real estate market is untapped, and it nearly is. Given this information, it might be a good idea to produce an MP3 demo of your voice for the fast-paced real estate movers and shakers and their continuous cycle of clientele.

Need some incentives? Think about this: by recording voice over work for real estate, you may be just as effective when it comes to closing the deal with potential clients as the real estate agent is. Not only that, but you could be introducing someone to the home of their dreams!

Now that we’re on the same page… Do you need a home seller’s script to record from?

Formatting your project like this helps voice over talent to better understand the vision you had for your project, and they can bring it to life in their read.

For Voice Actors Looking for Voice Over Practice Scripts

Feel free to use these scripts for practice reads! Keep in mind when auditioning for jobs, it is recommended to only provide a small portion of the read in your demo. For example, a 5 to 7-second read of a 15-second script will suffice for your audition demo.

      Hi Vania,
Of course you can! I like how you specified that you’ll be creating the script yourself – so there would be no copyright concern. Good on you for being so creative and diving into writing, as well as voice over!
The voices.com scripts are here for anyone who would like to use them for practice or for recording demos, but no one is obligated to use them 🙂
Thank you for checking and happy recording!

One more thought – when you create your own script, do ensure that it is entirely your own. Don’t use brand names or other legal trademarks, or existing scripts 😉

    Tanya,

I’ve always been told that I have a great voice and I use to sing unprofessionally back in the day.
But I’ve found myself laid off after giving VZ 25 years of service to better their position in the market place.
Can you give me any tips on how I can quickly break into the voice-over business?

      Hello Tanya.

I’ve always wanted to become a voiceover artist but I’ve been very anxious even though a lot of people told me that I have a good voice . Now I am in my mid 30s and I am eager to learn and gain confidence. Finding this website really excites me and gives me the courage to start and stop procrastinating. I hope that this is the beginning of a good career and no more stops ????.

    Hi,
There are great sample scripts on Voices.com. Can I ask if it is possible that along with the sample scripts, a few various audio examples go along with your scripts, to give us ideas how we can learn from listening to techniques from voice over professionals that can show us how the scripts should be projected to match the briefs.

    Grateful thanks

      Hey Kevin,

Thanks for your comment! In fact, when one of our sample scripts has been featured on an episode of Mission Audition, we make sure to add a sample delivery of it to the sample script post. You can listen to audio recordings of automotive commercials, retail adverts, and explainer videos on their respective blog posts.

I hope listening to the audio recordings helps give you an idea of what the scripts are supposed to sound like in the hands of a professional voice actor!

I am new to this. But should we let the client know when they’re script is grammatically incorrect? For example, the parallel construction is wrong in some of the samples above.

Also, do most scripts have commas where they should, or this just something the reader improvises?

    Thank you,
    Paul

      Hi Paul,

These are great questions. If you’ve been hired for a VO job and you have some questions about the script, grammatical or otherwise, then you should politely clarify the copy with the client. It’s important to understand that while some copy can appear unusual on the page, the way it’s written may actually make for a better read — especially when the client is editing the voice over into a larger project.

Most voice over scripts will include commas, ellipses, or some other form of indication at the spots where a voice actor should pause. If not, that’s up to the voice actor to interpret and/or collaborate on with their client.

      Best,
      Oliver

      Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your question! I don’t know of an industry standard rate for that category and industry of work specifically. But it would be a non-broadcast job, with a limited timeframe of usage. Those two factors, plus the final finished minutes of the voice over file can help determine what the rate would be. Check out our rate guide for some approximate rates on jobs like that.

      Best,
